Coursework of 2,500 to 3,000 words, which will include ONE of the following options
1) A hybrid creative / critical essay (100%)
2) A critical essay (50%) written in combination with a portfolio consisting of prose, poetry, or non-fiction (50%)
All work should be accompanied by a “Works Cited” list of titles in MLA style. The “Works Cited” list does not count towards the overall word count.
All work should also be prefaced by a paragraph or two outlining which option (1) or (2) has been attempted, and explaining the rationale behind the work submitted. This introductory section does not count towards the word count.
